Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Please send us an email if you or or your group are interested in volunteering to assist rebuilding these family homes. The site can accomodate up to 20 volunteers per day. Contact us at helpout@nycoutreach.com or call (646) 335-2764.

What does a volunteer day consist of?

Each volunteer is asked to raise $250 toward a volunteer day. Funds will cover the costs of construction materials, transportation and meals, and perhaps one professional service elements (i.e. plumbing, electric – volunteers not able to assist with these).
Up to 20 volunteers will be needed each workday on construction related projects including, framing, painting, siding, etc.
Transportation will leave N.Y.C. at 8:00 a.m., returning by 8:00p.m. -- (Note:Overnight housing may be provided for two day efforts)
Groups can choose one or several workdays
Volunteers will be provided necessary construction equipment and will have skilled carpenters overseeing and assisting with all construction
Volunteers will also receive a tour of the flood zone area, including details on the impact to the local community and emergency response conducted by local town and county first responders, as well as meet the affected families
